Wow…. ๐ฎ I haven’t cried over an episode in a long time. I cried over this one!
It was so good! ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ
That moment when Neal was for the second time hanging over a portal, and he lets go…
Agghg. I felt sad all day. ahhhhhWell played OUAT, well played. :ugeek:
Anyway, I loved the twist on the peter pan story, once again it was exciting and interesting! Evil shadow!
Tamara! I reaeaeaeaeaeaelyyy hate her now. Like really. She is messing with my people, here. ๐ฟ haha ๐
Loved seeing young Bae. He was good.
I realized that my Rumbelle heart has taken a break, and it has turned (ever since tallahassee) towards Swanthief. I love MRJ and JM, and they make it so believable. (well, as much as it could be.)
What did you guys think about this?

The Emma/Nealfire portal scene, was one of the most beautiful bittersweet scenes of the season!! I adore Swanthief/Swanfire, I cannot believe they said ILY was not expecting that till season 3 that made me very happy, but then it all was gone 10 seconds later, when Neal let go so Emma/Henry could be together that left me devastated, I cried all the way through the scene ๐ฅ
This show is about hope right? If any couple deserves happiness its Neal/Emma, they still love each other even after all the years (it reminds me of “whats 28 years when you have true love?” ๐ฅ ) , they both been through so much and never seem to catch a break but they never loose hope, they both want a family…its heartbreaking, i HOPE the writers give us our happy ending for them in the end of the series…Neal has to survive!!

You said it perfectly. Thanks.
I watched 2×21 episode twice now. So I cried twice now.Since you are the keeper of Emma/Neal “I love you” epic before Neal sacrificed himself for ones he loves (yes, again),
.. Please kindly keep it safely because we really need to hear their “I love you” again. Thanks ๐ ๐May 13, 2013 at 10:41 am #193688swanning-offParticipantwaaaaa!!! ๐
That made me cry. So beautiful.
May 18, 2013 at 5:25 am #195212iheartmochi86ParticipantI know what this scene was suppose to be
BUT
Emma had more chemistry with the pole she was holding onto than Neal. You guys think they look good together?
-Jennifer looked better with Ted on How I Met Your Mother.
-Jennifer Looked better with the guy who played Superman in the movie, Table for Three
-Jennifer has sparking chemistry with the mad hatter. For the few scenes she had with him. It makes no sense for them to be together but they had really great chemistry
-Emma was best with Graham. You could just feel it. Graham’s personal curse broke after Emma kissed him. She gave him back his memories. She made heartless Graham into a believer. If Emma was a believer I think they could’ve had true love’s kiss. I don’t think Henry would be alive if Emma wasn’t a believer when she kissed him.Anyway, those love scenes with Neal made me gag. I want him dead.
May 18, 2013 at 11:45 am #195227angiebelleParticipantI was sniffling too! But I totally believe they will be together again- I was so excited to see them finally admit they still had feelings for each other. I disagree about their chemistry- they are too adorable as a couple.
I keep daydreaming that I say to Emma, “Why are you so sure Neal didn’t survive? Have a little faith!”

This could go one of two ways, either they are planning to Ross and Rachel them which means they’ll be on/off again throughout the show because of various obstacles but will end up as end game, or SwanFire isn’t going to be endgame and they are resolving the left over feelings that Emma and Neal have for each other so that Emma can move on to other relationships.
CaptainSwan has a strong following but could possibly end up as Spuffy did where Emma (Buffy) uses Hook (Spike) and becomes involved in a relationship with him even though her heart will always truly belong to her first love Neal/Bae (Angel).

No offense to Captain Swan fans, but It’d be really shocked if SwanFire doesn’t end up together, and I don’t say this because I enjoy Neal/Emma more.
When you think about it, the biggest MacGuffin of the show is Henry; he’s the one that drives pretty much all of the key plots in the show: he brought Emma to Storybrooke, he made Emma believe in the Curse by eating the poisoned pie, he’s what drives Regina to be a better person, he’s what united Rumple and the Charmings in a single family, he’s the boy destined to bring Rumple’s undoing and he’s the boy that Peter Pan wants for some unnamed reason. It’s not a coincidence that those on the main cast of both season who have some level of family bond with Henry are the ones who have been used regularly and that those who haven’t, like Archie, August and Red, are the ones who have fallen to the wayside: ultimately this show is about HENRY’s family, so it’s far more likely that, more than Emma’s, Charming’s, Hook’s or even Rumple’s, the show’s ending would reflect HENRY’s happy ending, and what could Henry want more than his parents being together again?
Of course, as always, your mileage may vary. ๐

This seems more likely to me, to be honest.
May 18, 2013 at 3:00 pm #195268kfchimeraParticipantSometimes we see chemistry where it isn’t intended (like some people say they saw between Ruby -Charming or Charming-Emma!) and sometimes we don’t see it where it is intended(like with Thomas and Ella) . There’s always the possibility that someone is picking up on a clue hidden between the lines and the directing. There’s also the chance that a clue is a red herring, or that things changed and the writers shifted direction due to real life events, like actor schedule conflicts. I saw potential with August, Jefferson and Graham–but those doors seem mostly shut now so I don’t dwell on what might have been.
I do see chemistry between Hook and Emma, but I slightly prefer the overall story with Neal.I have been invested in Bae -Neal since season 1. I see a connection between him and Emma that is not just about staying together for Henry’s sake or just about being the type of person who has learned to look out for number one through the hard knocks of life. What Emma and Neal both want the most is to be part of a family, and to be a good parent as that is something they didn’t get to have growing up. Emma can forgive her parents more easily as she now knows they were forced into a hard choice by the curse (and that applies to most of what Neal did too…more on that in a moment.) Neal’s parents chose selfishly, his mother “true love” with Killian, and his father the Dark One’s power.
I do feel the portal scene came up a bit quick in the storytelling, as Neal’s story also involves more than his sacrifice to let Emma be the savior, but also his guilt about that choice, and his relationship with Tamara. I still wonder if there is more to Neal and Tamara (like she used something other than “feminine wiles” to manipulate him, something all magic-sciency like her taser), but for now, I took his willingness to be with Tamara as proof of his hopelessness of a future with Emma. Of course, from a storytelling perspective, I wonder if that is a sign that his love was not true enough to have faith in Emma? Rumple kicked Belle out of the castle, and that after a partially effective TLK. Snow is willing to drink a potion to forget Charming and he is ready to marry Abigail unless he gets a sign from Snow.
In What Happened to Frederick charming says–Prince Charming: Well, Iโm afraid Iโm not able to help you, then. My โloveโ told me in no uncertain terms that she does not feel for me as I do for her. You canโt fight for something that doesnโt exist. So, thereโs my tragedy.
Charming then undergoes the task of fighting the Siren, realizes that since he was able to resist, that maybe his love is true and not one-sided and decides to fight for Snow. I would have preferred seeing Neal realize that his love for Tamara was just an illusion without the obvious proof that she’s holding a gun to his face. I would have liked the confessions and the portal better if he had called Tamara on her falseness out on the beach, despite her plausible explanation to be there. Then she could have run into the cannery, and THEN the portal thing could have happened as it did.
So it was a lot of emotion to put on the actors to sell in those few scenes and I can’t tell if the writers intended to imply we should doubt the depth of the love or if they just made the characters suffer for plot points & pacing. It’s clear Emma and Neal had off-screen conversations (like about August), but I do think the writers right now seem to be playing up the tragedy of their relationship more than the romance of it. I’m not sure why they are doing that exactly–to stretch it out over the show, or to hint that there’s another relationship down the line for Emma? I could see it go either way or as Price of Magic put it, for those who do get those references, are they Ross& Rachel’ing them, or are they going to Spuffy Emma with Hook.
Season 3 should start to make that direction clearer–but it may be the kind of thing the writers don’t even decide until they realize what season is the last.
