    Do you play tabletop games with your family and/or friends?

    Well, I’m german and so guess it was pretty normal for me to grew up with board games like “Orchard”, “Ringel Rangel” and later with games like “Settlers of Catan” or “Tikal” until I started playing video games instead.

    Well, a year ago I started watching TableTop, a youtube show, in which Web/TV personalities (e.g. Jane Espenson) play together tabletop games. And since them I’m having a regular gaming day with my friends.
    So we play Munchkin, Pandemic, Citadels, Small World, Tikal, Elfenland, Civilization: The Board Game and the prototype of a board game which I designed.

    Oh, I know Munchkin. My boyfriend has regular munchkin and I gave him zombie munchkin for Christmas or his birthday (they’re close together). I played Battlestar Galactica with his friends once.

    Apples to Apples is good too. I love Aye, Dark Overlord. My boyfriend also has betrayal haunted house hill, which basically pokes fun at all those horror movie storylines and character types. and one my boyfriend’s friends has a big bag of board games.

    All of these sound like good games. My favorite is “Settlers of Catan”! There’s also a discussion of the games over in https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=3955

    My husband is really in to tabletop gaming, so we have a closet full of boardgames.
    We have Betrayal At House on the Hill, Aye Dark Overlord, Citadels, some Munchkins and Small World of the games mentioned.
    I used to really enjoy Apples to Apples until I got caught with a group of people who would not stop the game until “Sean Connery” had been played. It was at the very, very, bottom of the box. The game lasted three hours. I can’t even tell you how “over it” I was. I haven’t played it since. ~_~;;;
    Other games I have enjoyed (I’m a bit of a casual gamer, the boy is more hardcore) include BANG! and Gloom. We also got some superhero themed games, one of which I haven’t tested out (It’s based on the marvel universe, I think it’s called “legendary” or something).

    In August, we’re heading to Indianapolis for Gen-Con which is a massive 40,000 person gaming convention. Whee!
