Why would obtaining Henry be more important than destroying StoryBrooke? If we know he is to be Rumple’s undoing, is he also the key to destroying all magic?

Why would obtaining Henry be more important than destroying StoryBrooke?

Since Greg and Tamara are simply pawns, they may not have even realized that the ultimate goal all along was to isolate Henry. I think that by destroying SB, all of Henry’s relatives would have been killed. Henry would have been the lone survivor, since he was born in A Land Without Magic. Therefore, Tamara and Greg would have taken custody of Henry without anyone to challenge them since Regina, the Charmings, and Rumple all would have been dead, too. Therefore, destroying SB wasn’t the real mission; kidnapping Henry was even more important in terms of priority.

If we know he is to be Rumple’s undoing, is he also the key to destroying all magic?

Yes, I think Peter Pan somehow knows about prophesy about Henry being the key to taking down the Dark One. I’m not sure Peter cares about destroying magic. I think he was just using people, like Greg and Tamara, who hate magic.

I think Henry is a child both from true love but born here by FTL characters making him a child of two worlds AND born of true love. PP was a child of two worlds in many regards. I think the Shadow is PP and he wants a host. And he needs a very special host.

What if the original Dark One is in Neverland and is trying to get his power back?

😯 😮 I like it! I'm pretty sure that E&A have hinted we might see previous Dark Ones in S3. Just maybe one of them somehow survived in NL?

I’d emphasize more the fact that Henry was conceived here, rather than being born, otherwise Cinderella’s daughter Alexandra would also fit the bill. 🙂

It’s possible that the shadow is PP, but Felix also mentioned that PP can rip your shadow out of your body, so maybe Peter uses his shadow as his envoy while he stays in NL commanding the Lost Boys?

BTW, we’re having about three threads that are more or less about the same subject, Henry’s importance. Shouldn’t we be merging them?

Daniel would like to handle merges, but I’ll send Daniel a request.

What other threads are similar? I must be missing them?

The picture of Henry thread and the “Why do the Lost Boys Want Henry” all have similar conversations going on. It’s ok. Daniel will make the final decision.

Oh, I missed the Lost Boys one. I will go read there, too. Thanks!
