Shouldn’t the Blue Fairy be in charge of re-cloaking SB? Why does Belle need to stay behind with the spell? That just seemed like a major plot device to separate Rumple and Belle again. Also, how did the BF manage to develop a potion from the hairs of Pinocchio to restore Belle’s and Sneezy’s memories? That also seemed like a plot device.

Oh, a total plot device, but it gave us a chance to see Rumple choose to be good and bring Belle back!

I was just saying this over in the favorite parts thread. I am so upset. WHY?! She’s always a plot device but no this one time, they keep Belle behind. It’s just away to divide the couple. And it’s terrible. They were apart for most of the season. I am just a wreck right now.

    The potion was…weird.

I’m tired of Belle being a plot device. What’s the point of making her a regular if that’s all she is.

She IS A regular cast member which is why I am so upset. They left ONE MEMBER BEHIND WITH A PLOT DEVICE.

I’m not so sure that this is a “plot device”. While the other main characters are off to Neverland/FTL, I see a much larger role for Belle and Grumpy, becoming the leaders of the remaining Storybrooke residents.

    Don't grow up. It's a trap.

But the BF could have done it. Which makes much more sense seeing as the BF is the most powerful magic in the land and Belle has never done magic.

That may be true about Belle never using magic, however, Belle has always been a brave bad-a** when she needed to be. I believe there will be a three way dynamic next season, Neverland (Henry, et al), FTL(Neil, Mulan, Aurora, Phillip) and Storybrooke (everybody else).

I only hope she goes ahead and reads the directions to cloak the town before anyone else from the outside shows up.

    Don't grow up. It's a trap.

Considering we probably won’t see Belle at all until everyone who left returns, I seriously doubt we’ll see anything good from Belle or Grumpy. I doubt they’ll be flip flopping between NL, wherever Neal is AND SB – it’ll probably just be NL and wherever Neal is for the beginning of the season. Especially since I read something on vancity about the crew members saying they wouldn't be filming in Steveston again.
Total waste of character, no logic to it, and this Rumbeller is seriously disappointed and angry.
She could’ve been the Belle we saw in the flashback with Mulan, but no, she’ll be sitting in the library and hanging out at Granny’s.
