Is anyone else a chronic daydreamer? Anytime I get really into something, I daydream about it so much that I often embarrass myself because I start to make facial expressions that reflect what I’m imagining! Of course, right now that something is OuaT! My current favorite daydream is that I magically appear on the Jolly Roger just as they are all arriving in Neverland, and I end up having to explain to them how I know them from my favorite tv show and how much I love them all.

Do you ever imagine having conversations with the characters and what you’d want to say to them?

I like the imagine character dialogue and monologues, especially when I’m working on something that’s a bit repetitive at work and the like. I actually kind of like doing some of the more monotonous tasks sometimes, especially if I’m trying to work on a story etc because it gives me time to let my mind wander. I definitely think in conversations, so for me- I tend to imagine a character delivering some speech, and then sort of build around it, imagining who they ‘re talking to and what events led to the conversation in the first place. When I get down to actually writing the story out, for me the process is definitely about linking up the dialogue I wrote in my head earlier and figuring out how to play out the events on the page.

This isn’t limited to OUAT, of course- but that definitely has been my mental playground for the last few weeks. ^_^
