Today in “The Irish Sun” they report an interview with Sarah Bolger, stating “Dublin will always be home” to irish beauty playing princess Aurora on “Once Upon a Time”.

Sarah Bolger cut her acting teeth with her sister, Emma in “In America”, which followed an irish immigrant family moving to America. She then moved on to “The Spiderwicke Chronicles” and the hit series “The Tudors”, prompting a relocation to California for more meatier roles and a busier schedule.

She won the role of Aurora in “Once Upon a Time”, her role debuting in the first episode of Season 2, alongside Jamie Chung and Julian Morris showing an Enchanted Forest still intact, yet ravaged by Regina’s curse. Sarah showed Aurora’s inner strength, typical of “Once Upon a Time” princesses when she is kidnapped and threatened by Cora, keeping her chin up and her loyalties strong.

Having just landed a leading role in new Manhattan-centric drama, “Mixology”, Sarah vows her native Ireland is still her home.

” Some people are under the impression I’ve moved [to L.A.] for good but that couldn’t be further from the truth.”

” Ireland’s always going to be my home but so much is filmed in LA, so you have to spend time out here”

Speaking to the Irish Sun from her home in West Hollywood, she jokes that the most exciting thing she does is playing pool, as she is not one for sunbathing or partying, claiming her life is “extremely boring”.

The actress admits the Hollywood life does have its perks, such as getting dressed and primped for award shows, rubbing shoulders with big Hollywood names.

Sarah, who cites fellow countrymen Caitriona Balfe and Colin O’Donoghue, (Killian Jones on “Once Upon a Time”) as her close friends that help keep her connected to home.

“I’m loving that there are more and more Irish out here in Hollywood……. its great having an Irish contingent in LA.”

Hmm, link isn’t working for me so not sure what picture they used but it’s a great article!

Sarah & Colin worked together for an episode on The Tudors as well as OUAT so it’s nice to see that they’re friends and help keep each other grounded so far from home.
