He wouldn’t have had to go through the closet if we’re assuming he was made of the tree, you know. If he was made from the magical tree then his body could have protected him all on its own and he could have escaped the curse without the help of the closet, meaning the closet still transported onlie one, i.e. Emma. I don’t find this theory very likely though :/
