After watching last night’s episode I find it particularly interesting the position the curse has put Regina in. Snow lost her mother who she dearly loved at a young age. Regina had a horrible mother who clearly messed up Regina beyond repair (and Regina may have been the child that Rumple wanted to take away from Cora). Regina could have been a loving stepmother to Snow. Snow never had the opportunity to be a mother to her own child, Emma who Rumple gave to Regina. Now Regina has the opportunity to change the odd parenting patterns and actually love Henry who is also Snow’s grandson. In some ways has the curse actually caused Snow to provide Regina with a new love? And if Regina is the child that Rumple wanted to take from Cora, I wonder if he feels some kind of bizarre guilt over how Regina turned out because he wasn’t successful in getting her away from Cora.
