Snow White, like everyone, has her moments where she struggles. Even if she started out spoiled, life quickly taught her some very hard and cruel lessons early on. It’s amazing she turned out as well as she did. She was a little girl who lost her mother at a young age, had to endure a step-mother who never really loved her and tried to kill her multiple times, was doted on by her father from a young age, who was tragically taken from her as a teenager by evil Regina. Not only was she an orphan from about the age of 18 due to her evil step-mother, but she was probably framed for the murder of her beloved father.
Even when Regina sent a huntsman to tear out SW’s heart, SW wrote a letter forgiving her step-mother and apologizing for keeping her from love. When Prince Charming met SW, she was on the run for her life after nearly being assassinated by the Huntsman, who took mercy on her. She was wanted wrongfully for “murder, treason, and treachery.” Even though she acted unbecomingly as a result of taking the potion from Rumpel, he explained that when she forgot Prince Charming, she lost her heart. She isn’t really as bad as she seemed. It was the price she had to pay for the magic. It’s similar to when Regina’s love, Daniel, died in her arms. That caused Regina’s figurative heart to be crushed into a thousand pieces and for her to snap. Fortunately for SW, she still had her Prince Charming to save her from a destructive fate.
