That paperweight almost looks like a donkey to me – which makes me think Pinocchio. When Pinocchio goes to Pleasure Island in the Disney version of the movie, he is transformed into a donkey. I am totally lost as to who August is… but this is my interpretation on the paper weight on his desk!
