I’d actually go further. I’ve re-watched the episode and the way Emma’s talking and the lines said (like in the transcript) do sound like she actually believes. The only thing preventing her to acknowledge that, is her denial to be the saviour and shoulder the responsibilities that come with it.

Emma: I don’t want them to need me!
Emma: You’re saying that I’m responsible for everyone’s happiness? That’s crap! I didn’t ask for that! I don’t want it!
