Rumple still has some kind of end game. I don’t know what it is but I haven’t given up on him. For one thing, I think Belle can influence him toward good even if she can’t completely change him. She just hasn’t had time to yet. And what he did hasn’t been explained so even though it was really shady I don’t think it’s a clear-cut “well, that’s it, then! He’s evil!” moment.
But I have to admit, I still feel worried for Belle myself. I wish she loved someone better than him. He doesn’t deserve her yet, and he may never.
