It all depends on what happened between the two. Emma got pregnant during a very troubling time in her life. She was a trouble-maker and the father was probably a trouble-maker too. So, I think both parties will take some of the blame. It all depends on why Emma decided to hide her pregnancy from the father. If it was a for a legitimate reason, like if he was a criminal or physically abusive, then she had every right to hide it from him. I just hope it wasn’t because she didn’t feel up to the task and she kept the pregnancy away from the father becauase she knew he would make her raise him.
Having said that, I actually do believe Emma when she said that Henry’s father was “no hero.” Now, what means exactly is anybody’s guess. He could have just been a lost soul like Emma was, he could have been suffering from severe depression, he could have been a burn-out, or he could have been a criminal. We’ll just have to wait and see how the writers handle it next season.
