I’m so skeeved out anytime anyone suggests Jefferson and Regina are related. I felt clear feelings that they’d had a relationship that involved a crush or romance or just friends with benefits type thing going on. The familiarity was that of childhood next door neighbors that had been each other’s first kiss or something. You can know a guy, poke fun at him, or strike up a rivalry without any blood ties. I used to race the next door neighbor kid home from school every day, the fun of one-upping each other was there without any shared DNA.
That’s how I see their relationship as well. They have too much sexual tension to be siblings. I think they were childhood friends who grew up to be lovers but then decided it was better to stay friends. That friendship soured as she changed and he became a criminal (basing this off the casting call) but they kept that frenemy thing going.
