“Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus”- Prometheus is a Greek myth, as well as Poseidon, who is Triton’s father, who, in turn is Ariel’s father. The little mermaid is supposed to be introduced to the show. While she is a fairy tale, there is Greek mythology woven into her story. K&H have already included the Siren into the plot, which is also Greek mythology. Frankenstein is considered one of the earliest science fiction works, but, that is the exact opposite of what Mary Shelley intended. She considered it ‘anti-science fiction’. That was her whole point in using nature- weather, and the elements- to create her monster. There was much debate, at the time, as to what genre Frankenstein actually fell under. I’m not trying to be ‘right’ or shove my opinion down anyone’s throat, or anything like that 🙂 I’m just pointing out that it isn’t as far a stretch as it may seem, if looked at from a different perspective.
That’s just my opinion. I feel it supports the Frankenstein theory.
Whether he turns out to even be Frankenstein or not, remains to be seen. He may be someone else, entirely, at this point. There are clues and facts which support a few other very good theories. I just like the Frankenstein one best 🙂
