I didn’t necessarily mean Emma was in the episode. Just that I think Hook isn’t in Storybrooke and he’s in Fairytale Land with Emma and the others. She doesn’t need to be in the episode at all.
I have no idea why Smee would attempt to kidnap Belle without Hook if Hook is stuck in Fairytale Land.
The best idea I’ve heard yet for Emma and Snow returning, although I know it’s not going to be in this episode, is them flying in on Hook’s ship into Storybrooke Harbor, like they do in the end of Peter Pan.
