I’m with you on not wanting a Prince Charming and Snow White to be stand-ins for Arthur and Guinevere. We saw enough of a love-triangle between David, Mary Margaret, and Kathryn in S1. I have a feeling that the relationship between Snow White and Lancelot is going to resemble the relationship between Snow and the Huntsman, who was sent to kill Snow but then spared her life because he saw her purity of heart and took pity on her.
Meanwhile, back in the fairytale land that was, on the eve of meeting Prince Charming’s mother, King George poisons Snow White, and the only antidote lies within the waters of the Lady of the Lake.
The episode description says that King George tries to poison Snow, and I think he sent sword-for-hire Lancelot to do the deed. However, I think Lancelot will have a change of heart and will try to warn Snow, but Snow will have drunk or eaten whatever poisoned object was planted to kill her. I think Lancelot will then save Snow by taking her to the Lady of the Lake, who according to legend, raised Lancelot as an infant. I think he’ll also try and save Prince Charming’s mother, who unfortunately, was seen in a picture with an arrow in her chest.
