This is very interesting hadn’t really crossed my mind before… yes the stories in henrys book are told from a certain point of view. Whos point of view?
It must be that the stories in the book are told in the original way in which we also know all the old fairytales. Set after all the rules. So they are told in the way a certain person want them to take place. Like a recipe. This is making me think you can compare them to a curse, a curse is also ‘written’ they talk about how Regina wrote stuff in to the curse in order to make it act the way she wanted it. And when she breaks Maleficents glass globe we see that it is written on a scroll of paper. Maybe the book is a “curse” that “someone” wrote in order to make all those things happen that way… Then the question is who needed these stories to take place the way that they did? Could be Rumple, I don’t remember if there is any of his story in there, cause that would speak against it I think.
And then maybe this is also connected to the library being closed up. Its under the town clock right? I think this is important somehow. Its where the Beast/the dragon is kept hidden under ground… something very secretive going on there…
This is also interesting if you believe that August Wayne Booth is a reference to the real life author Wayne C Booth who wrote something about what he calls the ‘implied author’ which differentiates between the actual author and the person the reader believes in, or something like that. Again it has to do with point of view and which perspective you have.
