This is my favorite theory. I’ve been a big supporter of it for awhile. And I agree, I think either the rules changed once Bae went through alone OR the BF lied saying it would be a land without magic, knowing that Rumple could never give up his power and she secretly needed Bae in Neverland for some reason. I don’t really trust the BF but I think the first theory is probably more likely given that the writers do seem to want the BF on the side of “good”
