Something random and sort of out there that just popped into my head…in the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty, she was taken away by the three good fairies who raised her until her 16th birthday. To add to this: in the movie Sleeping Beauty believed herself to be an orphan. If the fairies are raising orphans, like Rumple, it could give more credence to the fact that it was the BF who got Henry Jr to SB and to Gold who then got him to Regina. Once again, she’s just doing what she had been doing in FTL.
