The writers already said Emma goes through a lot of emotional baggage and have said many times it’s going to take her some time. Think about it 11 years of her going through in her head that her boyfriend just ditched her and left her with all the blame it takes time to bring that trust back again. But the way the writers talk it’ll happen eventually, I would be disappointed if it was an instant fix.
