Okay Andreth, I’ll give it a shot. I’ll see it through to the end. I’ll see it through to the end because I just thought of something:

You know how we hear over and over that all magic comes with a price? Well Rumple never seems to pay a price for his magic. This whole curse was created by Rumple, who hasn’t had to pay a price that we’ve understood. So, what if THIS is his price – that his grandson (Henry) is the “boy who will be his undoing?” as prophesied by the Seer just before she died? That’s a horrible price.

“undoing” could be interpreted in several ways. It could mean death, but it could also be removing the curse of the dark one from Rumple.
