Everyone is shades of grey and I love it. I agree with Jolly Roger on the planned thing: the writers have always wanted to bring in Peter Pan characters but couldn’t get the rights last season. So as far as I’m concerned, even though Hook is “new” this season, he was always meant to play a big part.
It’s like last season when they said we may not learn who Henry’s father is for awhile and then bam: they get the rights and Bae is brought to present day. Nothing is done haphazardly, we just can’t see all the strings being pulled.
Hindsight is 20/20 and it makes this one of the easiest shows to rewatch because there is ALWAYS something new to discover. 🙂
