Well, she certainly can live without it, since she did for 28 years in SB before Mr. Gold brought magic there. Yet, I think what you’re getting at is would she be content to live without magic? She may not have a choice thought if she’s “zapped’ of her magical ability by GOAT.
Well, she had no need for magic during the Curse years. She had won. Plus, magic didn’t completely disappear. She didn’t bring much with her but there was some, and I’ve often wondered if she used it occasionally for something.
If she finds some way to get her magic back in S3, would she take it? If she still thinks the CharmingStiltskins provide a threat to her happiness and Henry, I can see her trying to get her magic back because her rationale is that she needs it to protect Henry, never mind the fact that it’s only insuring that the wedge between them continues to grow.
