I think Slurpeez was refering more to Rumple going into Protective Papa mode where Bae is concerned more than wanting to protect himself. I think in this case the more he wants Bae back the less he’d interfere. There’s just no way Bae would forgive turning his fiancee into a snail and crushing her for having a suspicious list of names. If something triggers Bae’s own Protective Papa mode, that could change I suppose. 😆
And after finally seeing the clip of David and Snow, I can see how hearing David’s really stupid plan could cause Regina to freak. (Really, David? Gonna offer to let a psycho choose to either stay alone in a deserted town or spend the rest of her life in Rumple’s cell, and you don’t expect that she’ll look for option 3?) I just miss the days when (as others have pointed out) she still had a sense of reality about it. It’s not so much to me about her being all Evil Queen. I still expect that from her. It’s the fact that I expect the Evil Queen to be smarter than an 11 year old, instead of blurting out her plan to Henry because he’d totes be all over that plan. I don’t get how he isn’t raking her over the coals for her previous attempt at killing his whole family. They couldn’t possibly be keeping that from the kid. And I totally agree with the narcissim diagnosis and that she turned herself into the Evil Queen. Just like Rumple turned himself into the Dark One.
