Sinqua Walls apparently said in a recent interview that he’s due to go back to shoot more stuff as Lancelot. Then ABC promptly issued a statement saying there were currently no plans for the character to return.

Soooo, who do we believe?
Personally, I figured it would make sense for him to be brought back at the start of S3, otherwise we’ll just have MAP and Nealfire aimlessly trying to find a way out of FTL. Bringing in some more characters for them to interact with would actually give them something to do, and making one of those characters the already established Lancelot would be better than just having randoms. (Of course, we’ve since got what appears to be a casting call for a replacement RH, so he’s now another candidate for a familiar face in present day FTL, in which case Lancelot may not be necessary after all).
Anyway, I suppose we’ll soon see whether or not Sinqua ends up back on set.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"June 28, 2013 at 1:22 pm #198695PheeParticipantThat’s what I was thinking, that boyfriend just wasn’t supposed to blab about it yet, so they tried to diffuse the rumour. I just dunno why he’d even mention it at all unless he’d actually been scheduled to go to Vancouver.
June 28, 2013 at 1:23 pm #198696RumplesGirlKeymasterSo if Lancelot is really alive, where on earth has he been hiding?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"June 28, 2013 at 1:32 pm #198697PheeParticipantMaybe Cora had him imprisoned somewhere magically, and when she left, he was able to get out?
Maybe his old buddy Merlin also managed to ward off the Curse (or was just inside Cora’s bubble) and is still there and found him and they’ve been shacked up together?
If so, maybe Merlin will be the one to heal Nealfire? Maybe he even helped with Phillip’s soul? (I know we’ve pretty much assumed they’ll just use Lake Nostos for both of those, but just throwing the alternative out there.)
If they do bring him back in present day, I’ll totally be shipping him with Mulan.

The only issue I have with bringing in more Arthurian legend is that it’s already a pretty busy season with PP and NL. Adding another story might be overcrowding.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"June 28, 2013 at 1:46 pm #198706PheeParticipantYeah I totally get that. My Merlin line of thinking sort of stemmed from wondering if they’ll try to get the story of Red’s cloak into the first half of the season, before Meghan has to go shoot Intelligence, because I’ve always sorta hoped that the “wizard” Granny mentioned getting it from was Merlin.
In S2 we know they’d originally planned more stuff for Red, planned to keep Snow & Emma in FTL longer, and they were saying things like, “As if you’d believe Cora” about Lancelot being dead. Made me wonder if maybe all of this was originally gonna be tied together in S2 somehow, and if so, and they still wanted to do it, maybe they’d wanna do it early on in S3 if Meghan will still be around?
They could take a few eps to set up a new little colony in FTL, before Nealfire gets outta there, and that way he can say to everyone else, “Actually, there are some folks back there trying to rebuild already,” which could play into the debate of where to live further down the line. It all fits together so nicely in my head…so I’m sure that won’t be how it actually plays out. LOL

Pretty much.
If it does play out that way, though, it would set up the second half of S3.

Maybe Lancelot was only half dead and his soul traveled to wherever Phillip’s soul went. Cora seemed to know a lot about what happens to a soul when it’s consumed by a wraith. Perhaps Cora marked Lancelot the way Philip was marked and so in a way, Cora was somewhat telling the truth when she said she’d killed Lancelot. Since Aurora and Mulan managed to free Philip’s soul, maybe they freed Lancelot’s soul.
