Found this on another forum sounds pretty good what do you think?
Like many Once Upon A Time fans, I was suspicious of the Blue Fairy from the start, but I wasn’t able to articulate why until I realized that she didn’t champion true love or True Love’s Kiss. She convinced Nova and Dreamy to part instead of exploring true love, because she felt it was more important for Nova to remain a fairy. Moreover, she handed young Baelfire a magic bean and told him about other realms rather than telling him about True Love’s Kiss.
My favorite Season One episode, Skin Deep, established that True Love’s Kiss could break The Dark One Curse. Moreover, the Season One finale established that the parent-child bond applied to True Love’s Kiss when Emma saved Henry. Those things being irrefutable, why didn’t the Blue Fairy tell Baelfire to kiss his father and break the curse? The only answer that makes sense is that the Blue Fairy wanted the curse enacted, and she needed to motivate Rumplestiltskin the way Rumplestiltskin motivated Regina.
Assuming my theory is correct, why did the Blue Fairy need the curse enacted? She needed the curse enacted, because there is a magic shortage in the Enchanted Forest. In the pilot, the Blue Fairy mentioned that the magic tree from which Emma’s wardrobe was fashioned was the last magic tree. In Dreamy, she told Nova to be careful, because that fairy dust represented their entire annual supply. Moreover, her desire to separate Nova and Dreamy makes sense, because the Blue Fairy wouldn’t want to lose even a single fairy if she was facing a magic shortage. Finally, the Blue Fairy told Baelfire that she was giving him the last magic bean. She wouldn’t hand a child the last magic anything unless she was truly facing a crisis.
Assuming my theory is correct, how would enacting the curse help the Blue Fairy replenish magic? The curse would aid the Blue Fairy in replenishing magic by transporting her to a Land Without Magic — a clean slate — on which she could draw clearer, stronger magic lines than those that faded in the Enchanted Forest. She had a problem, however. Incompatible magic trickled through from other realms.
The Blue Fairy retained her identity during the curse, sensing the presence of this other magic and its ability to thwart her plans. She countered by secretly leaving Storybrooke and forming an alliance with Home Office, an organization already in place with a magic hunting agenda. The Blue Fairy used her Mother Superior identity to her advantage in her interactions, helping to foment and entrench the inquisitional fervor that would later lead Tamara to call magic “unholy.” Unfortunately, this lead to another problem. Both August and agents of Home Office ended up in Storybrooke at the same time.
August knew that the Blue Fairy retained her memories during the curse, because she told him about Neal being Baelfire. The Blue Fairy shut August up by allowing clueless stooge Tamara to kill his wooden form and transforming Pinocchio into an amnesiac boy who couldn’t tell what he knew as a “reward” for being selfless, brave, and true.
If my theory is correct, it means the Blue Fairy is the grand manipulator operating in many guises, rather like Cora, who masqueraded as the Blue Fairy to taint Snow White with dark magic. Was that foreshadowing and what roles do the fairies in Neverland have to play? I can’t wait for Season 3 to learn the answers!

July 27, 2013 at 5:25 pm #202356HappyEndingsSpectatorThat is true why didn’t she tell Bae about the True Love Kiss thing?
July 27, 2013 at 5:28 pm #202359obisgirlParticipantI don’t know. I don’t trust Blue but maybe she didn’t think parent/child could share True Love’s kiss. It’s only a romantic thing.
July 27, 2013 at 5:32 pm #202361RumplesGirlKeymasterWell, who of his parents could talk about TLK? Milah left when he was a boy and Rumple didn’t know/hadn’t experienced TLK before Bae was 14. He didn’t even one to explain how TLK/TL worked, really.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 27, 2013 at 5:39 pm #202366PriceofMagicParticipantPerhaps true love is unconditional and Bae didn’t love Rumple unconditionally. Belle loved Rumple even though he was the dark one. Bae wanted Rumple to give up being the dark one.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixJuly 27, 2013 at 5:55 pm #202372HappyEndingsSpectatorYes, but as the person said Emma kissed Henry, Snow and PC did the true love kiss. So if Emma could do it to a child why not the other way around?
July 27, 2013 at 5:58 pm #202375RumplesGirlKeymasterIt depends on the child and parent, I think. Bae does love his Papa, but his love also changed when Rumple became the Dark One. He loved his father of the past, when Rumple was a good man. He resented and feared the Dark One, so much so that he sought to escape him. I doubt TLK would have worked on Rumple from Bae because of Bae’s changing relationship with his father.

I don’t think Bae’s love changed he love his father enough to try and save him from the black magic so I think it would have worked personally. Besides if it didn’t work couldn’t the bean be the back up plan say Plan B?
I also heard someone mention that they thought the BF was dying and that is why she wanted the curse.
July 27, 2013 at 6:23 pm #202391RumplesGirlKeymasterIt did change though, he wanted Rumple to be the man he was not the man he is. Belle loved him no matter who he was. I’m not saying it wasn’t a small change, but it was enough to render TLK null and void between Bae and Rumple.
