It’s a symbolic reference to a storyline about someone being framed
Maybe that’s how Hook became a pirate, he was framed for something he didn’t do and had to run away to be a pirate.
What if the crew mutinies against “Liam” and Hook has to flee for his life because the crew has somehow set it up that YoungHook will take the blame.
Does YoungHook still make sense now that we know “Devin” isn’t YoungHook? Is it possible that Hook became a pirate at a later age, that way they can have Colin play himself?
