TV Line has given us a glimpse into a rival sitauation between the Red Queen and Alice:
Emma Rigby, who plays “the boss of Wonderland” (as she puts it), assures me that her revengenda-driven royal’s beef with Alice is indeed “large. Huge even” — but viewers will have to sit tight for the deets. “That’s what we’re going to discover throughout the series,” she explains, adding only: “The writers want to make it like a sisterly rivalry.”
What if Alice and the Red Queen are indeed sisters?

We had to wait a long while before we got to see why Regina hated Snow. But I do believe they are indeed sisters tho. That’s my official headcannon until proven otherwise v_v

That would mean Alice, whose father had her committed for appearing crazy, could know the truth of WL’s existence. That would make him really evil, IMO.

I think he wants to deny that WL exists because he can’t imagine his eldest daughter turning into what she did; so he shuts out the truth and creates his own reality where his youngest daughter is crazy and maybe even pretends to not have an older daughter.

I know. 🙁 But I sorta get the feeling WL is going to be a lot darker than OUAT.

Theory #1
Red Queen and Alice are sisters but maybe Alice doesn’t recognize her because of her evilness or something, or she does know her. Could go either way.
Theory#2.
Okay, this is kind of a wild theory, and I just want to advise you all that I’m on cold medication so it might be the meds talking, but what if the Red Queen and Alice were sisters-in-law. That would make Jefferson and Alice brother and sister…and the Red Queen her sister-in-law at one point. I know quite a few sisters-in-law that have a huge rivalry and can’t stand each other. Always trying to outdo the other. Maybe the Red Queen sees her as a threat.
Okay, I went from last year convinced that Jefferson and Alice were married to tonight making them brother and sister. Eddy and Adam are driving me insane!

There isn’t a large age difference between Alice and the RQ based on the way they look but maybe Alice lost her sister at a very young age and she doesn’t recognize the RQ now. And going with the depressing thing I said above, her father denied he ever had an elder daughter because his reality couldn’t accept that he had lost his child to another land. So when Alice started talking about going to WL and seeing great things, he locked her away.
Theory #2
Possible. Then was Alice born in FTL or was Jefferson born in Fictional London?

So maybe he was originally from Fictional London. The locking his daughter up could just as well be because his son ran away to another land and disassociates with them now.
But really I’m leaning toward Theory #1 where the Red Queen and Alice are sisters. Makes much more sense.
