Seeing as there are threads for RegalHood, Hookriel, and FireQueen, I figured, why not just start a Hooked Queen thread? Yes, this is the place to discuss any hypothetical (or actual) relationship between two of our show’s most beloved villains: Captain Hook and Regina Mills. Remember, this is a hate-free space.
To get the ball rolling, here are a few of the most obvious parallels between Hook and Regina:
- Both Regina and Hook lost their true loves (Daniel and Milha respectively) at the hands of dark magic.
- Both Regina and Hook have vowed to get revenge on the people they blame for the death of their loved ones (Snow White and Rumple, respectively) and both hold grudges for a LONG time.
- Both Regina and Hook have primarily looked out for themselves for a long time. Both are likely to screw other people over and have done repeatedly, including to each other.
- Both Regina and Hook have sought to adopt as a way to have the family they always wanted deep down (Owen and Henry for Regina and Baelfire for Hook).
- Both Hook and Regina have been left unsatisfied by their constant pursuit of revenge (Regina isn’t satisfied to torment Snow; she still wants a family and Hook didn’t feel as satisfied as he thought he would when he believed Rumple to be dead).
- Both Hook and Regina know what it feels like to be outcasts and type-casted as villain.
- Both Hook and Regina made great stride towards redemption in 2×22 (Regina helped save SB and Hook turned around his ship to help save Henry).
- Both Hook and Regina have lost love, but both could become open to love given the right circumstances.
And here is a fan-made videos of the captain and the queen:

I’m not saying its the same, but there are similarities. They probably could understand each other more than anyone else, haha.
What I find most interesting is the want for family, for actual love like you said, Regina with Owen and now Henry and Hook with Bae. It seems to be so strong in this show.
In regards to hooker queen/hooked queen, 😉 I think it would me more likely to happen later, but I could definitely see some late nights on the boat, maybe an eye-to-eye talk about things would be in order. They’re both on a ship with people they’ve been wanting to kill for FOREVER too, haha. I mean…that has been Hooks life-purpose after Milah. And Same with Regina as you’ve also pointed out, with Snow…they’re both definitely going to be stretched on this journey.

Heros don't get their Happy Ending!
September 27, 2013 at 7:44 pm #212569Hook’s GirlParticipantI think of Hook & Regina like brother & sister who are always trying to “one up” each other. Especially in the scenes with Cora (mother or mother figure) in the scenes where Cora was mentioned like down in 2×20 in the cave below library when Regina wanted Cora’s protection cuff from Hook just because it was Cora’s and Regina not believing that Cora was Hook’s friend. I love their scenes together. Can’t wait to see their interactions this season!

September 27, 2013 at 8:30 pm #212573sweetgrassParticipantFor me Hook and Regina are better off as friends. I can see them snarking together. I don’t see them romantically together because I don’t see them making each other better. It would too easy furor them to slip into bad habits.
Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.
September 28, 2013 at 8:59 am #212656SlurpeezParticipantWhile I don’t read into this more than it is, it does deomonstrate that Hook and Regina both understand wthere the other is coming from. From 3×1:
“Can villains get happy endings? It’s something two fan favorites contemplate in a scene that might convince some more people to hop aboard a certain ship.” source
I believe this topic will again come up between Hook and Regina as they travel to NL. While their happy ending might not be with each other, it’s fun to speculate about.

I’ve always felt these two would make great friends. We already saw in the mine that Hook was already talking her about the emptiness of revenge. I can see them as friends with benefits and they both understand that. I just don’t see them as OTP.

September 30, 2013 at 1:51 pm #213106SlurpeezParticipantI believe Hook and Regina understand each other in a way that none of the other characters could, precisely because they’re both villains who have been bent on revenge for so long. Maybe they’ll just be “frenemies” and nothing more, but there’s no denying they share a certain connection. Just look at this conversation between Hook and Regina in 3×1 The Heart of The Truest Believer:
Regina: Greg Mendel said something funny to me. He said I’m a villain, and that villains don’t get happy endings. You believe that?
Hook: I hope not — or we’ve wasted our lives.
