I don’t know how many are onboard with the Sneaky Fairy theory, but here’s what I think: Blue Fairy is Peter Pan’s mother and, essentially, the Home Office. She was the original power and we presume PP to be a dark one or a being with powers paralleling the Dark One. PP is one evil little snot, but evil is made. Blue told Bae that the Dark One’s powers did not belong in the Enchanted Forest. She knows because she created said powers for her son to be the the ruler of the “protectors of magic.” Magic is both good and evil, so the fact that the powers protecting it are evil makes sense – evil is often more powerful than presumed good and since true good is rare, evil is easier to rely on. However, magic is waning and has been for centuries because people have stopped believing. It seems a little ironic that Blue’s power stems from belief and now Peter Pan is looking for the heart of the truest believer. I think Blue is absolutely sneaky as hell, but she may be more benevolent than we give her credit for. Perhaps she orchestrated everything as we know it in order to save magic:
1. She had a son that she sent to Neverland so he could stay young long enough to save magic. She created the Dark One powers to give he son so he would be all-powerful and unable to be stopped.
2. Rumple was not supposed to become a dark one. He is a rumple in her plans. Hence why she tried to convince Bae to take his father away. We know that didn’t work however. It’s interesting how Bae ended up in our world first.
3. Tink was removed from power because she interfered in Blue’s plans to have Regina cast the Dark Curse. Blue needed Regina to do this to remove the Dark One from the Enchanted Forest and set up everything involving Henry.
4. Nova was threatened because had she taken Dreamy away from his destined path, Snow White never would have had Emma.
5. Blue didn’t give Regina all the parts to make the curse successful until she was sure Emma would be born in time and made sure Emma went to our world where she knew Bae had gone. She had to make sure Emma and Bae met and created Henry.
6. Sneaky Fairy has her hands in everything and I think Peter Pan is the ultimate minion – he’s working for dear old mommy in the hopes she will love him once he saves magic and therefore saves her. If people stop believing in magic, Blue will cease to exist.Wow, that is filled with tangents and loopholes and unexplained bits, but anybody want to weigh in?

“You are a law unto itself. Your tendency is to finish whatever you start. You are tolerant and like to help humanity. You are very active. You are generally warmhearted and gives freely of your time, energy, and sympathetic understanding. You have tolerance and acceptance of the frailties of others. Universal and humanitarian in outlook. This is very compassionate name. Emergencies may raise your intuitive abilities in order to resolve conflict or situation. You become very creative under the pressure, and have quite original ideas to make the best out of it.
You are always looking for a chance to do your own thing, to be your own person, and to have things done your own way.”and Gorm – “ou are introspective, prophetic, philosophical, and soul searching, but also can be analytical, critical and opinionated. You think deeply and clearly, have an air of mystery, can be solitary and secretive. You are frank, methodical and believe in law, system and order.
Position and social status is very important for you and you are always looking for way to improve your position in society. You have power and ability to chose your own destiny and achieve anything you want in life. You can expand in any direction according to your will and the set of values. You have passion for justice and belong to the position of authority. You have an inherent courage and endurance to accomplish “The Impossible Dream”. With the power comes responsibility. You hold keys to the material world, but with this gift comes high spiritual responsibility to be fair and true to others. You are philosophical and mature, determined and intense with a desire to endure, often religious.”October 16, 2013 at 7:57 pm #216426thebassgalParticipantAnyone?
October 17, 2013 at 2:24 pm #216673RumplesGirlKeymasterHi! I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to read this yet! Ok so Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky is basically my mantra for the entire show. I think she and PP are totally working together to make sure everything was in place to get Henry. Not sure I agree about Blue being PP’s mother but I do think they are closely aligned.

For Pan to be more powerful than the Dark One, atleast to me, that means that he might precede the dark one curse. If he is her son, one of them may have created it. Blue told Bae that the dark one curse (I really wish we had a name for it since Dark Curse refers to something else) didn’t belong in the EF so that obviosuly means it came from somewhere else. I’m sure she knows very well she or Pan created it.
Tink called her out on her not being very Fairy-like and I think that is a hint. I think Blue has plans. Evil plans, maybe but probably good intentioned bad plans. I don’t trust those little sparkly wings v.v

?I’m on the same page as you, but I saw this one flaw in your evidence. If Blue wanted Regina to cast the curse, which eventually led to Tink being removed, then why did she want Rumple taken out? Blue would have needed Rumple too, so that he could push Regina to casting the curse.
The only possibility is that Blue knew Rumple wouldn’t go with Bae. She manipulated Bae and Rumple. She definitely put the curse idea in his head.
October 18, 2013 at 2:55 am #216833PheeParticipantthebassgal, I’m pretty much on board with pretty much all of that!
Only thing I’m not quite sold on is Blue being Pan’s mother, but that’s partially because my brain is so entrenched in the idea that Pan is Rumple’s older brother. Though thinking about a possible origin point for Blue and Pan’s relationship, in Barrie’s original story, Peter Pan runs off to live with the fairies, and that’s how he ultimately gets sent to NL, so perhaps Blue was the fairy who sent him there when he wanted to shun the human world?
Interesting facts about the names Rhuel and Gorm. We know they’re Gaelic for Blue Star, but those descriptions of each word as an individual name fit Blue so well.
One other little bit of speculation I’ll throw into the mix here is that I’ve always wondered if the Seer might have been Blue in disguise. Originally got the idea when I thought there might have been a hint of Keegan’s voice layered in there with the young Seer’s voice, but thought I might have been imagining it. But then, the Seer has bright blue eyes. And whenever Keegan’s asked what other character she’d love to play, she always says she loves the little bit parts, and always specifically mentions the Seer. And now we’ve seen Blue chastise Tink for getting big for no reason, which I’m wondering might be a tiny hint that Blue herself has got big a couple of times for what she deemed to be a very good reason. And Blue is the one who basically told Rumple that a Curse would do the trick, and then the Seer reinforced that for him, telling him that yes, the future most definitely involved the casting of a terrible Curse.
That’s what I think, yes, that she knew Rumple wouldn’t be able to go down the beanhole. And if they (Blue/Pan) needed Bae, because they ultimately needed Henry, they had to get Bae in the right time and place, which meant separating him from his father, and having him end up in NL for a couple of centuries.
October 20, 2013 at 2:44 pm #217367thebassgalParticipantSo I though about it and maybe Blue isn’t Pan’s biological mother, but rather his adoptive mother. Since in Barrie’s version, he did run away to the fairies, maybe she kinda adopted him. It is interesting how the fairies’ Storybrooke counterparts were nuns and a lot of orphanages are run by nuns. So back on point, perhaps Blue “adopted” Pan and feels motherly to him, so they created the curse to save magic.
Which leads me to this – is a bad, even terrible, thing that is done for the right reasons, still a bad thing?

I feel like that is the ultimate philosophical question for ONCE. Case it point: Rumple. He did a lot of terrible (truly terrible) things but in the name of parental love. Snow White told a secret she was not supposed to tell, but did it in service of saving Regina from losing her mother, an experience she knew all too well.
A running theme of the show has always been: desperate souls do desperate things. And sometimes desperate souls do horrible unspeakable things. So, if Blue isn’t an evil puppet master then I think there is something horribly traumatic in her past that makes her so rigid and cold and do the things she does. I have my own head canon which is that she was once in love with a mortal man who was dying. So she enchanted a dagger and stabbed him in the heart but all magic comes with a price and he became the first dark one. This trauma leds her to demand that no fairy can love.
