I think that Hook and young Baelfire spent more time together than we’ve seen after Bae left Hook’s ship. If so, I was think that perhaps the reason Hook knows it’s a map is because he and Bae used that map the first time to escape from NL.
Hmmm. Tword wise? Hook was in the EF at least a few months before the Curse hit. We’ve been speculating for a long time that Bae was in NL until about 1991 given his age and wanted poster. So Hook left NL before Bae.
