Bunch of randomness popped into my head whilst scrolling through WL tags on tumblr, and I stuck some stuff together to make a crackpot theory…
I know Anastasia Tremaine is supposed to be Cinderella’s stepsister, but could they maybe make her her bio sister instead? That would solve the blonde issue. Maybe when their father remarried, the older of his daughters left because her stepmother was so horrible. And she ran off to marry Jefferson, because I can’t get over how much Emma Rigby looks like the girl who plays Grace. She became his partner on jobs whenever he needed a +1 to stay back in any given world, and while she was waiting behind for him in WL, something happened to her which meant he couldn’t get her back, so she got imprisoned or cursed or something and was stuck there in WL, and after a while began her plot to become Queen and take over WL. And the Knave fell in love with her, and agreed to help her to try and take down his boss, QoH. And when Anastasia did manage to become RQ, she had no further use for him and tossed him aside, and his comment about never truly moving on if you’ve ever loved someone is because Anastasia is still in love with Jefferson. And whatever game she’s playing right now is her attempt to finally get back to him and their daughter.
