Wonderland, Neverland, The Enchanted Forest, and all these other lands have one thing in common within the Land Without Magic. They are all the lands where stories, legends, and fairytales exist BUT in the LWM (I’m too lazy to keep writing that title T.T) they are simply nonexistent. This is my theory: The land without magic is simply ONE of the many lands that unfortunately does not have magic obviously but this is not OUR world.

This is where things may get crazy. Try to follow me here..

Our world is a land where our stories and legends are also televised… In OUR world Once is just a show just as in The Land without Magic, Snow White is just a fairytale. One day they may come to OUR world and literally meet themselves and Adam and Eddy and the whole crew… What’s my evidence that The Land Without Magic isn’t our world? Idk… This theory sounded alot better in my head T.T

    Hm.

Well I think the big problem is that our land gets labeled a LWM but magic can exist here without creating more magic. So, an enchanted shadow can come through and steal children but it does not CREATE magic. The dragon himself is a magical creature and therefore retains his magical properties. Rumple brings magic to SB which allows Regina and him and later Cora to have magic but they cannot use their magic outside of SB.

I think the whole “super meta” meeting A and E would be COOL (in my head, in the series finale some 3 or 4 years down the road…there is a brief scene at the end of the episode where all our characters have gone back to the EF and A and E are walking through SB going “what is this place??”) but I think for simplicity sake it can’t be a world within a world type deal.

A&E walking through SB, and a shark jumping in the harbor as the jaws theme plays, sure why not.

I think there might be some people who actually believe there is magic in our world and they try to destroy it. I’d love to see that on OUAT anyway. Greg said it few times, that there were people before them who tried to kill magical creatures and keep magic out of this world. He could be manipulated by Peter as well, but I’d love to see some kind of Home Office in our world. Perhaps, the last season could be about the battle between magical people and non – magical people 😉 with a wonderful conclusion that magic is everywhere you just need to know how to look for it 😉

noo, I would not like it if they ended up with a scene of Emma and the gang meeting the writers. That would be stretching it, they wouldnt be able to make it in a satisfactory way I think. I hope LWM is as close to ‘our’ world as we get.

But they could hint at it, like a glimpse of the writers sitting at their desks and Emma looking at them through the portal hat doors or something. So not a head-on meeting, but something subtle would be fun.

I don’t want the writers to have any appearance on Once as themselves at all. It would kind of ruin Once for me. It would almost be like if they had J.K Rowling appear in the Harry Potter films as herself and decide that everything that happens would make a great story. It takes something away from the world that was created. Writers should not appear as themselves in their own fiction.

I agree POM. I think that for some things it would work, but not for this show the way they have written it.

I kind of have a little idea about the Henry’s book. Maybe it was written by somebody from our world, but I still haven’t figured out how it would be possible. Maybe somebody from our world traveled to EF…But at this point nothing is logical to me anymore. I just think, there must be some connection between our world and EF and other magical lands. It bugs me who wrote that book and how was it delivered to SB and why August knew about it. So maybe (again!) the book could be that connection.

How are their stories known in our world? Especially if Snow White happened probably between 30-60 years ago in The Enchanted Forest. That story has been in our land longer than that for atleast a century or two (right?) Havent they recently suggested that Lewus Carrol would meet Alice? He is the writer of her story, so its the same concept. Idk, I have a very large theory surrounding how the stories are known in our land before they have happened, who wrote Henrys book, and where Disney and Sorcerer Mickey fit into all this. This is just one piece, that our Land isn’t their land. But for the sake of keeping my crack theories in line, I shall wait until I see more evidence. I just think its possible. Fictional London and The Land Without Color or worlds that ate highly similar to ours. Yet they aren’t. We might have even said Dorothy came from our land before the land without color came along. I’m just putting it out there
