1. Rumple doesn’t want everyone’s children. Rumple can see the future. The only 3 children Rumple has made deals for were Regina (so she could cast the curse), James (His death meant George would want Charming which would put Charming on the path to meet Snow, and Alexandra (Rumple wanted to be locked up so Snowing would go to him for help so he could get Emma’s name. In Storybrooke, he used Alexandra to get a favour from Emma which he used to find Bae).

2. When she was younger and more “portable” :-p Presumably Rumple revisited Cora after Regina’s birth.

3. My guess is Rumple was known for spinning straw into gold and Cora is able to do the same thing? Xavier probably just put 2 and 2 together. Also since Cora was keeping Rumple a secret and it’s likely Rumple visited her regularly, Cora’s secretive behaviour would’ve been indicative of her having an affair.

4. As payment for having his time wasted. Though he may have other reasons yet to be shown.

5. We have yet to find out.

6. They were close as children but that’s all we know so far.

7. Rumple’s father was a coward, we have yet to find out why Rumple’s father left him.

Making deals has got Rumple what he needed in order to make the curse. Rumple can see the future. He know what deals are worth his time.

This was also one of the Zoso parting lines that really affected Rumple: next time you’ll know not to make a deal you don’t fully understand. Rumple made a deal to become to the Dark One without really knowing that that entailed. And then it cost him everything. So now he makes cunning deals as a way to make up for the biggest mistake of his life.
