I think you’re right. George makes the most sense. With Charming/Snow and Regina gone, he’s basically top dog, royalty wise.

My money is on a Darling brother holding the gun. Wasn’t it for the filming of this ep that the red car was in town?

I think the light is the spell that Rumple gave to Belle. It looks like it’s shooting up from the mines, through a manhole in the road, and is forming a dome over the town.
