Thanks for posting.
I hope Tink gets her wings back.
Really excited to learn what Tink’s history is with NL/PP and Hook
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 8, 2013 at 5:22 pm #222318SlurpeezParticipantWho does Tinker Bell interact with that may be surprising?
As you’ll see in the next couple of episodes, she has history of varying sorts with several of the characters. Her and Hook have interacted in the past and we get to explore that a little bit. She knows Baelfire. You have to watch and see. There are absolutely surprises about her relationships with people.
It must be interesting from your character’s point of view, coming in as a third party with this motley crew who normally wouldn’t get along in Storybrooke.
Having Henry’s cause be the greater good, everybody does band together and Tinker Bell is able to see that. When her empathy is able to come through, she knows she absolutely has to help them for the greater good. It’s nice having all of the different textures and dynamics together because you’re able to see chemistry between certain people and certain people have tension.
You mentioned chemistry and tension just now. Does she pick up on the Hook/Emma/Neal situation?
Yeah, I think so. That’s something she does very well and Hook is an old friend/alliance of hers and she notices those things. You’ll have to watch and see how she helps or doesn’t help. (Laughs.)This is the part I’m really looking forward to — seeing Tink as a perhaps somewhat unbiased third party. From the sound of it, Tink knew Hook and teenage Baelfire for a long time since they were all stranded in NL. She probably knows about Hook and Bae’s connection. Perhaps Tinkerbell is the one to spill the beans about Hook having been in love with Bae’s mommy, Milha.

If she’s the one leading everyone to the Dark Hollows, maybe. But honestly, my money is on Hook opening up and telling Emma.

I could see that happening, judging by the “see how she helps or doesn’t help” comment. It wouldn’t be all that helpful to the situation getting resolved in a mature way if she’s blurting out secrets. I would rather see Hook tell Emma these things. Maybe Tink will get snarky and drop some hints, maybe she assumes that Emma already knows, and then Hook can still be the one to actually reveal the details. I think it’s important for his character growth that he owns up to the full truth of his role in Nealfire’s life.
With Tinker Bell in Neverland, what’s the likelihood of her and Regina going back to their past friendship?
For Regina, to have anybody who’s really understood her well and has seen her fall, they have a complex history and they shared so much that there’s a real love between them because of that. I don’t know if it’s all smooth sailing, there’s going to be hiccups but they’ve invested enough in each other that you’re certainly able to hope they can keep their relationship moving forward.
I hope they can rekindle their friendship, because Lord knows Regina can do with a loyal friend.

Maybe I am confused, but what should Tink tell? Bae learned from Hook when he came to Neverland, that Hook was in love with Milah, and that his father killed her and that Hook was on a revenge quest (final episode of season 2). Hook told in the Echo chamber of secrets, that he thought he couldn’t move on from his love Milah, but that he now did and fell in love with Emma. Maybe Neal didn’t hear at all, but he already knew about Milah. And doubt that the Charming didn’t get it. What more beans about Hook and Milah are there to spill for Tink?
Interesting interview, thanks for posting a link, motormouth12. Like that Tinkerbell is a bit of a wild card, “incredibly moody” Rose McIver calls her. Will be interesting, what kind of history she has with other characters.
Tinkerbell is at the moment pretty much the reason for me to tune into upcoming episode, the only character I am curious about.
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯

It hasn’t been confirmed on the show yet that Emma has put it all together and realises that Hook’s Milah = Neal’s mother. She also definitely has no idea that Hook handed him over to Pan back in the day, and that’s also something that Tink would know about. These are things that Emma really should be made aware of, especially if Hook’s hoping to start up a relationship with her. Tink also probably knows what Hook used to do for Pan back in the days when he worked for him, and that’s something that’s still to be revealed to the audience, so it’s bound to come up amongst the characters somehow, and it’s bound to be something not good. Basically, the guy has some big secrets that could very well affect what Emma thinks of him, they’re all things that Tink would know, and those secrets will have to be revealed at some point.

I’m actually fairly certain Emma doesn’t know because when asked about it on Twitter, JMo always answers really coyly.

She might not know how Hook and Milah sailed off, which led to Neal being left alone with his crippled singled dad and told his mother was killed by pirates. She might not know about Hook handing over Bae to PP, or the genuine sea change in emotions Hook experienced back and forth over Bae (use him, protect him, use him….) or Bae over Hook (distrust him, trust him, distrust him…).
We don’t know if Emma knows, or if she would care that Milah is both Neal’s mother and Hook’s first love. There are some reasons to think she knows, but it is has never been said on screen that way. They always dance around it, like when Hook says Neal got his drawing talent from his mother, but doesn’t say “My Milah.” For all she knows Milah was Rumple’s daughter and therefore, Neal’s sister, so Hook knew of Neal’s mother from that.
I think it is possible that Hook tried to rescue Bae, which explains the less hostile reaction that Neal has had towards Hook in Manhattan. I don’t know if he was successful as we think Neal left NL after the curse was cast, and clearly, Hook left before still on a path of vengeance. So Tink may have some good things to reveal too, if Hook did try to rescue Bae and they emerged with a wary friendship of sorts after 100’s of years stuck in NL, aside from the whole “still going to kill your father” and “Still hate you if you do, because he’s still my dad, even if I am angry.” thing.
I speculated for a long time that Tink was a “newcommer” to NL, arriving well after Bae and Hook had been there, and may have played a role with how one or the other, or even both, left NL. I suppose we’ll find out now if I was right, or whether Tink was there as a fairy then went back to the FTL due to her “second chance” and met Regina, then went back to NL. We know she wasn’t there all along one way or the other.
So Tink definitely knows some secrets, but whether they’re good or bad ones I guess we have to see!
