Reply To: Emma + Baelfire = Swanfire

The things is the way Emma interact with Hook, she didn’t interact that way with Neal, Graham, or August (her potential suitors), she had her same spunky sassy completely in control personality. I mean even with her walls up with both Graham and August her personality has been pretty much the same for all three men. She seem happy and joyful with them. However with Hook on Neverland, she makes me think of how she was with Hatter in complete survival mood (save MM, save Henry, escape, escape). And I shipped MadSwan for all the wrong reason they were sexy and wacky together work out beautiful in my head canon only. But I knew it will never work out on screen, he assaulted & threaten both her and her mother and I’m not sure that should be conveyed as romance to family audience. So it actual surprise me that they went with Captain Swan. I always thought it would be some sort of ship teasing but nothing serious or hardcore because of the nature of Hook’s character and his treatment of Emma & her family.

But I never knew they were going anywhere with Swanfire either, I never hated them together, I just thought how really cute they were in Talahasse and how much they were in love, and it was sad they had to be broken up. I always got love vibs from Neal, Graham, and August (But he was more sibling love to me). Hatter, Hook, and Regina made me think of lust but never love. I always thought Emma happy ending would  just be Henry and her family, that she would never have a clear suitor who wins out but her options for love would always be open for later in life. (Even the writers said they at one point they wanted multiple suitors for Emma) That we fans would be left with gift of creating our own romantic fairytale happy ending for Emma in fan fiction. But then we got the love triangle, which was to my surprise.

sidenote: I heard a rumor that the love triangle was suppose to be August and Neal originally, not Hook. Hook came later after Eion left the show for another opportunity. Which makes me wonder that if they always intended for Neal to be the one  for Emma, that the other guy was easily replaceable????
