Did I miss something or are the producers/editors etc being really lazy with the continuity of Pan’s shadow? Not the one flying around in Dark Hollow but the one that you can clearly see in this episode at least once, when he is talking to Wendy Darling in the tree house thing after Henry leaves. Unless I have missed something, he is meant to be shadowless isn’t he?

I don’t know if this has come up before or if his shadow has been visible on other occasions in other episodes but because his shadow was a topic of conversation tonight in the show, I was more inclined to notice it. I would’ve thought they would edit it out in Post if it was meant to be gone?

So correct me if I am wrong or agree with me if I am right! 🙂

From what was said at the Hero Camp, Pan’s shadow is its own entity and can come and go at will. It seems like it can detach itself and reattach whenever it wants. The problem is we don’t know the events happen, in what order. It’s possible that Pan talking to Wendy was before the Trio of Awkward went to Dark Hollow. So that after PP told Wendy to get back into her cage (shudder) then his shadow went “home” to the Dark Hollow where it found itself and home under attack by the Trio of Awkward.

His shadow has been visible. It was VERY visible in 301 when PP revealed who he was to Henry.

Ahh, thank you for the clarification that we have actually seen it before. I think it would be a bit too convenient for the continuity to say that it can come and go as it pleases though. Not saying that against your point but if that is how the producers explain it (if they ever actually do) then I don’t think I would be able to accept that as good enough.

Have we ever seen Rumple’s shadow sitting behind him? Given that I have only just watched the Dark Hollow episode, I have yet to look back at previous eps to see what the deal is with Rumple’s shadow but I don’t think I have ever spotted it, since he cut it out of his feet and sent it away with his dagger.

Love the Trio of Awkward nickname! Very accurate, it was very awkward to watch! I guess that is a testament to the acting, in that they can create the atmosphere that needs to be conveyed.

Oh no, it’s totally convenient. It’s the definition of an “easy answer” : the shadow had detatched/attached itself in that scene and that’s why you don’t see it/see it

I haven’t seen it. I know they made a point of editing it out in 302 on the cliff with Belle. But has anyone seen it since?

Come to think of it, I was rather disappointed that Rumple’s shadow didn’t pop into SB and give Belle his dagger. Now we have a shadow flying out in the world somewhere with a dagger. What is it doing? Is it world hopping? Is just chillin’–like ya do.

If all of the Shadows go to Dark Hollow, maybe that is where Rumple’s shadow is…he said you know what to do…I’m sure I heard Hook say that that is where all of the Shadow’s go and hang while on the island…or something…

That’s a good idea. Do the shadows fight other shadows? Would Pan’s shadow go after Rumple’s shadow? Shadowboxing!

If that is where Rumple’s shadow is, is that where the dagger is? Or maybe he has hidden it somewhere else…like Skull Rock? I want to know how Rumple can call his shadow back, if he can at all. I guess he would need the dagger back at some point so is there a way he can call it back?

Are all shadows their own separate entities? Cause Pan’s shadow seems to have a will of its own but does Rumple’s? What about Greg’s? I would imagine does need his dagger at some point which means he needs his shadow. How do you call your own shadow back? In the PP movies, the shadow has to be caught, sorta like they did in Dark Hollow and then Wendy sews the shadow back on PP. Maybe Belle will sew Rumple’s shadow back on.
