The same with the history of Bae and Hook. 300 years ago in the story or not, those events were played out on screen for a reason and just as relevant to Hook and Neal as other backstory. Are we supposed to dismiss Hook’s past as a man of honor? CS fans do not think so yet they say forget Milah and forget Bae. If these events are addressed on screen, then we can see Emma react to them rather than fans assumptions of how she might feel, get her reaction on the quality of the characters of Hook and Neal.
Dear God yes, we need some CANON Emma reactions to all of this so the conflicting speculations about her reaction to it all can be put to rest. Current actions don’t just erase past actions. The same people who would love to say that the details of Hook’s past actions aren’t relevant to present day, would also say that the details of Neal’s past actions are why he shouldn’t be with Emma in present day. Double standard much.
We don’t know if Neal kept the swan key chain
I will actually cry if he didn’t keep the keychain. Of course, I’ll also cry if he DID keep the keychain. So basically, I need to buy some Kleenex.
I think that might be a good bet. We still don’t know what Hook was doing for PP, but PP called it “his dirty work.” And then there is whole, “I gave a young boy to the lost ones,…sorta like how your son was kidnapped in a similar fashion. After I had promised him a family.” But Neal’s other story is “I saved a young boy from the shadow we have in our coconut because they took me in and loved me and it was the least I could do”
With the promo pics for 308, I am quite desperately hoping that Emma’s gonna learn the full truth about everything to do with Neal’s life. Emma needs to know that he had a family with the Darlings, and that he sacrificed himself to keep them safe from the Shadow, and that’s how he ended up in NL. The flow on from her learning that, SHOULD be that she learns how Hook fished him out of the water, and had him stay on the JR for a little while, before he sold him out to someone Hook himself has labeled as a demon. It’s great that he’s now helping to save Henry from that same demon, but that doesn’t erase the fact that he handed Bae directly over to him, and we now know that Hook knew that Pan was a treacherous little so and so back when he was still Killian, so we can’t say that Hook was oblivious about who he was handing Bae over to. And if Emma’s gonna learn about all of that, then she’ll also have to learn the truth of who Milah was, because Milah’s the reason that CaptainFire had the fight that led to Bae leaving the ship. If all of that truth doesn’t come out in the very near future, I’m gonna be seriously disappointed.
I don’t know if she would stare at him and think he would be a great father to Henry but he might be fun in Vegas.”
NL = Vegas. And you know what they say about what happens in Vegas. I hope that’s the reason they’re doing this triangle mess while they’re in NL, because it’s a land where everything, especially emotions, are wonky. The only way I can see CS continuing to interact post-NL without it being incredibly awkward (and we do know they’ll be interacting, to the point where she’s giving him a lift in her car) is if they can say, “So, NL was a real trip huh.”
I know a lot of people don’t want to consider this theory, but what if the “dirty work” that Pan had Hook do was capturing the Darling children? This would put a very stark divide between Hook and Neal since Bae tried so hard to save them.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Hook had something to do with the Darlings ending up as Pan’s prisoners.
