Reply To: Neal and Emma's Magic

We were discussing this over in the SwanFire thread but actually, you’ll notice Neal backs Emma up. Literally. When he sees that Emma is going to do magic with Regina, he moves behind her so that he literally has her back and then watches her, to make sure she’s ok. Also Neal may not like magic, but he understands that it must be done to get Henry back. He was ok with putting the Lost Boys asleep, for example. I think Neal worries because he knows what magic does to people: a la Rumple and when he became the Dark One. He hasn’t once said, “I don’t think you should do this because magic is evil.” Neal is opening up to the idea of magic, using it to rescue his family.
