Wait and see I guess, since I’m pretty sure the answer to this question will be hinted at by the end of 3×11. Maybe Hook just sees a pretty lady, Emma, and wants to help her. He might even recognize her as little Emma, whom he saw grow up, according to his altered FTL identity. To Emma, Hook has become like “uncle Killian” since she would think of him as being her parents’ generation, not her own. Emma would think the same way about Neal, by the way, since she would think of him as an uncle figure, too, perhaps. Thus the love triangle would be put on hold.
that’s possible. If he knows her as just “the daughter of Snow and Charming, whom I helped raise” (same with Neal) then he wants her to come home, but all romance (for both sides) is at a standstill.
