welllllllll….she doesn’t have her memories. This IS parallel to Dark Heart Snow and pre-Lacey Belle.
When Emma kissed Graham she didn’t even believe in fairytales being true, just as she no longer has any recollection of magic. In “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter” Emma awakened Graham without even trying, when she flat-out thought Henry was crazy about her being the savior. Emma awakened Graham, not because she loved him, but because she IS true love. Yet, Emma embodies her parents’ true love magic, even though she no longer believes in it. Emma still possess the greatest magic of all inside of her. In theory, the curse didn’t wipe out Emma’s inner magic.
Isn’t Hook carrying a blue potion in his hand in NYC
Looks that way to me. So maybe Emma talisman is the dream catcher, and when Hook pours some of the potion on it, *poof!* Emma will get her real memories back by 3×13
Rumple: “I use the curse to find you Bae. To tell you I made a mistake. To make sure you had a chance at happiness. And that happiness is possible, just not with me. I love you Bae.”
That small hopeful line that Rumple says to Neal is “happiness is possible” which going by what we’ve seen Neal’s mission was in the beginning was reunited with Emma and Henry and going by Neal’s promo poster at “second chances” is with Emma. I find that it’s Rumple subtle telling his son to go for his happiness. I want to believe it’s some foreshadowing of the future. There’s a lot of messages of “hope” in this episode.
Yes, it’s clear that Neal’s second chance is with Emma and Henry. He said he would see them again, and he will. Rumple encouraging Neal that happiness is possible beautifully parallels Snow White telling Emma happy endings start with hope! I love how much Snowing and Rumple seem to recognize that Emma and Neal not only love each other but deep down want a second chance together! Watch CS fans start to “ship” Belle and Neal though now that Rumple looks “dead” (even though I’m sure he’s alive in some form somewhere). *sigh*
