Agreed. I’m actually starting to get a little offended with people over this. I don’t do the crying jag thing over a lot. When I’m truly devastated, something bad has really happened…I shut down utterly and completely. It doesn’t mean I don’t feel anything…it means I feel too much.

Yeah, people do NOT react the same way over traumatizing events and for people to be vilifying Neal for how he reacted is ridiculous. He’s been on the show for a year and a half now and while he’s had his emo moments, he’s never actually all out cried (unlike Belle and I agree that the contrast was striking on purpose) so it would have been way out of character for him to do so now. I have relatives who are the same as you RG, they don’t show outward emotions much at all, but you know they’re upset and that’s totally Neal. People are just annoying me in general over OUAT lately but this is one that needs to stop because it’s really becoming over the top and annoying.
