Last year AFTER THE SHOW EPISODE was completed, I always enjoyed coming to the forum to read this thread and see what everyone thought about the show. There were some lively discussions here… So what ARE your favorite and least favorite moments IN 3×14 THE TOWER ”

Taking the courage is interesting and I like that big twist that she’s recreating the classic Oz companions by taking the traits from those who have it the most.
All in all, not my favorite–sorta filler for me.

Favorite Moments:
- The Rumple/Zelena conversation. It offered insight into her father (which I think this can confirm that it’s not Rumple or Leo…) and her relationship with Rumple.
- The taking of the courage. I found that to be really cool and it really makes me think that Zelena made David the Cowardly Lion. What a smart, manipulative moment.
Least Favorite:
- The hooded figure bit. It was annoying. End of story.
- The point of Rapunzel. See, this is where things like this annoy me. They make a point of casting a diverse actress for one of the most iconic figures in fairy tales and BOOM! She’s a filler character. I hate it when they do this, as it’s grown to be extremely common now and one of Season two’s major mistakes: they bring in a character just to add it to the Onceiverse so that it can serve the plot. Afterwards, we never hear from the character again. Yes, I’m glad we got some David stuff this week, but it just felt out of place too soon in the half-season.
Overall, it was an “eh” episode. However, I can’t wait for next week’s!
Keeper of Thor’s Hammer, Will Scarlet’s Genie Bottle, Emma’s Gun, Emma and Henry’s Moment at the Castle, Cora, and the infamous Family Tree!

THIS.
I was trying to figure out a way to say it and you did. She didn’t really serve a purpose. They could have actually done something much more Rapunzel-y. And now she’s just another in a long line of people we’ll never see.

Least-favorite moment: The scene when Zelena was fawning over Snow White’s pregnancy and Snow White was buying it. Does that woman lack common sense? Don’t trust a stranger, especially not one who croons over your pregnant belly and makes you tea. Not when people are disappearing and the Wicked Witch is on the loose.

Red’s mom? She was filler but she felt like she mattered in that tale, that it was her, not some random person. Rapunzel in this one? Not so much as she had no history with David. I understand they can’t always have a huge story for every character they introduce, but for a Disney princess like Rapunzel, at least I’d want there to be hinted at more to come even if they never decide to do it. When she mentioned a brother, I was hoping it would turn out to be Lancelot and we’d find out he wasn’t dead, and….you know, easter eggs for some future plot down the line leading to Camelot or a hint to the past. Lancelot mattered to David, to have saved his sister and help give her courage to lead their people? Wouldn’t that have made it more touching? Instead we got a potential plot hole + a character that we’ll probably never see again. Maybe the kingdom and that part of the forest was in Cora’s bubble (and it was much bigger than it looked) but still it all just seemed wonky.
Other than that, Zelena is a good villain, creepy and psychological.
The only scene I really enjoyed was Regina and Henry in the park.

Favorite Moment-Belle being called Mrs Gold although I wish someone other than Zelena called her that–felt like she was rubbing it in, but at the same time I want Belle to be Mrs. Gold…maybe just maybe hint for Rumbelle wedding?
I did appreciate though that we got to see some of Charmings’s thoughts and fears about Emma.
Maybe Wizard of Oz is in fact Zelena’s father? “Appearance is everything” seems like something the con artist Wizard would say.
Liked the Regina/Henry bonding moments.
Also, I am very ready for Regina to destroy the WW!!!
