I honestly don’t get why SFers think this is a SF song though… even if you remove shipper thing the fact that the music stopped both times before FTL came “knocking”…. well, to me the song just represents “ordinary life”. I was speaking to ladyhacksaway a bit about it, and she said:
It’s about Neal and Emma being in a normal life, separated from the fairytale. But I think the ship aspect is also an unintentional but marked distinction, because the music stopped when Neal decided not to go, and it stopped when Hook arrived.
