Keymaster#Believe’s Jamie Chung doesn’t know if she’ll “ever go back to #OUAT.” #TCA14

At the TCA14 this weekend, Jamie said that she probably won’t be retuning for some time because her new show “Believe” is her main concern.
Believe airs on NBC and begins soon.[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"January 19, 2014 at 3:24 pm #238456PriceofMagic
ParticipantDoesn’t bother me, never really liked Mulan’s character.
All magic comes with a price!

KeymasterFor those who don’t know: Believe is a rather HUGE undertaking for NBC. JJ Abrams and Alfonso Curion are leading the project (though they departed after the pilot I think). It’s being promoted as a VERY big deal so I’m not surprised that Jamie is more focused on that.
For what it’s worth, however, I hear a lot of talk that the pilot of “Believe” isn’t that good and won’t last.

ParticipantI’m curious how it will do, because NBC isn’t the top dog network right now but it always changes. That’s a good pedigree for a show but I’ve heard people say Meghan’s show isn’t doing well but then other places say it did better than OUAT. I don’t know where to look for hard numbers so there’s always a lot of distortion in the fandoms when it comes to stuff like that.
I liked Mulan’s character but don’t feel she’s necessary for the story to continue. Maybe she’s the rumored “death”–I could see Mulan having a noble end sacrificing herself to save the baby Philora.

On the whole, no.
Intelligence got like a 2.5 in its pilot (ONCE pilot in 2011 = 4.0)
Intelligence for their second episode got a 1.2 and skewed “old” (6.6 million live views, and only a 1.2 in demos means that the majority of people watching were over the age of 49, which advertisers aren’t interested in…sorry older people. We love you) but the ONCE 102 got a 3.8, with pilot as lead in.
I think when people saying that they are saying that a 2.5 Intelligence pilot is better than a 1.9 ONCE3x11 which is true, but it’s apples and oranges. Both are fruit but fundamentally different. ONCE 1.9 is in its 3rd season. A 2.5 in pilot is decent all shows slide after pilot, so it fell to LOWER than what we’ve ever had.
(I spend way too much time thinking about ratings)

I could see her dying but with Jamie saying that she isn’t returning at all, I don’t think she is the rumored death because I’m not sure they’d kill her off screen.

They wrote a book once. It didn’t go well and it wasn’t reviewed very well.

The problem with the book was that it was just an abridged version of Season one episodes. The graphic novel, which does have an original story, was actually fairly decent.

ParticipantNot surprising that she has no plans to come back, considering her new gig. I just hope they actually give a reason for her not still being with the Merry Men when S3B starts up, and don’t just ignore the fact that she’s not there.

Agreed. Let’s not have another Ruby situation where they don’t explain the glaring missing person.
