Just because we don’t have any news or pics of MRJ on set does not mean he hasn’t been filming or that Neal is the one. In fact I believe it’s quite the opposite It would seem rather stupid to it all over again as we just went through this between the season 2 finale and season 3A. So in my opinion that make him safe as well as Adam’s replies earlier in the week when asked about Neal. The fact that Adam said Neal is talked about in the writers room a lot indicates to me that he may have a huge part to play in season 3B. Neal/Baelfire was planned from the very beginning of the story he like Emma and Henry are the original created characters of Adam & Eddy I don’t think for a second that they would kill someone as important to the story they want to tell as Neal which is why I say I just don’t believe that the huge part for him to play the in these remaining 11 episodes of the season would be his death.
Again to state I can’t see Adam & Eddy going through all that trouble of intentionally seeking out MRJ to play the part of Neal/Baelfire and bringing him in for season 2, making him a series a regular only to kill him off in season 3 makes no kind of sense at all because if that was the case they would have just kept him as recurring which they did not do the made him a series regular which is an indication they have things planned for the character again I don’t see death being one of those things.
I’ve said all along that I believe that it will be Hook that is the one who is going to die. Storyline wise his death does indeed make the most sense logically because the Neverland story is done and they have said no more Neverland so if this is story driven as Adam has been maintaining all along I can definitely see it happening especially given Adam’s response to RG’s tweet that it’s story drriven. When you look overall at the promo posters this season they make it clear as to what the objective is and what the end result of each character will be by the end of Season 3. Take Hook for example his poster says “Believe that a Pirate can be a hero” Through out season 3 we have seen Hook maintain that he believes in “Good Form” and that he is a man of honor. Yes did offer his ship and services at the end of season 2 to help get Henry and yes he even went as far as to forgo his desire to kill Rumple and avenge Milah’s death but still his intentions in doing all of this was not noble or unselfish and Charming saw it for what it was and called him out on it in the episode Good Form which is that Hook wanted Emma. He proved that at the end of Good Form by using the fact that he saved David’s life from the dreamshade poisoning and then expected Emma to show some gratitude by kissing him he wasn’t going to accept a simple thank you from her which by my estimation shows that his motivation was anything but unselfish. There is more examples throughout the rest of the season 3A but we have yet to see him really do something noble and unselfish and to put the needs or the life or lives of someone else above his own wants, needs and desires and I believe that is what we will see sometime during Season 3B and this motto in the promo picture will actually come true “Believe That A Pirate Can Be A Hero” And what would make him a hero and redeem him would be for him to make the ultimate sacrifice of his life to save Neal, Emma and even Henry from death. Neal’s poster motto on the other hand says to “Believe In Second Chances” and that has been his mantra the entire Season 3A when he told Robin Hood that Emma & Henry were his Second Chance. Before Rumple made his sacrifice he even told Neal that happiness was possible just not with him.” I think Rumple was trying to tell Neal that His Second Chance at happiness was with Emma & Henry. I think Rumple may have fore saw the future because back in Season 2 episode 15 The Queen Is Dead Rumple told Emma that she wanted a Second Chance with Neal and in Season 2 episode 21 Second Star To The Right Rumple again told Neal that he carried a torch for Emma. The theme of Second Chances has been a theme ever since season 2 and I can’t believe that they would just abruptly not want their audience to believe in Second Chances because that also constitutes believing in Hope and True Love and there is no way that Adam & Eddy would take away those themes from the show. So I think the speculation that it’s Neal who will die is an intended misdirection in order to shock fans when it turns out to be Hook as the one who dies.
