First of all, let me get this off my chest: the first half of this Once Upon a Time season has been my all time favorite story arc so far. In my opinion, no villain previously introduced on this show has been as purely evil and unredeemable as Peter Pan was. That being said, I’m a little upset about the fact that Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz completely murdered a favorite childhood fairy tale character to so many children. (I wonder how many children kicked actor Robbie Kay (Pan) in the shin upon meeting him, and then ran off screaming for their lives. I heard that Tom Felton (Harry Potter’s ‘Malfoy’) got that a lot.)
However, on March 9th (8/7c on ABC) Once Upon a Time will introduce to us a new villain in the form of the Wicked Witch of the West from the land of Oz. There’s already been a lot of buzz on Twitter and Facebook about actress Rebecca Mader playing the part of Her Beautiful Wickedness. Mader has a huge fan following and they’re all anxious to see wicked vs. evil when the two powerhouse women from the show square off. Evil vs. wicked.
I just finished watching the screener for the premiere episode, “New York City Serenade”. As you’ll remember when we left our show back in December, Rumpelstiltskin had just killed Peter Pan (and ultimately sacrifices himself in the process), but not before Pan releases the curse which Regina had used to create Storybrooke, transporting the citizens of the Enchanted Forest to the Maine town. To counter this curse, Regina must sacrifice her relationship with Henry, leaving him in Emma’s care without their memories of Storybrooke, its people, or their time spent there as the rest of the characters are returned to Fairy Tale Land. However, we saw in the last scene that Hook managed to get to New York a year later and tried to get Emma to return with him to save her family. We were left with a Jolly Roger-full of questions and not a few disappointments.
The premiere episode makes quick work of laying many questions to rest, but as is normal for this show, it also raises many more. “New York City Serenade” does a wonderful job of launching the second half of this season with as much excitement as we have come to expect from Once Upon a Time.
Today we’re here to tease you a little bit on what you can expect. Because you know, we’re like that around here! SPOILER ALERT!
A monster is hidden behind an offer of love.
Hook tries to help Emma remember who she is and offers her time in a bottle.
Regina returns home to find that someone has changed the ‘locks’.
The witch draws first blood.
There’s a new twist on an old curse.http://thefairytalesite.net/2014/02/5-once-upon-a-time-premiere-teasers-spoilers/

Yep. Walsh is a monkey

Puts a whole new meaning to Monkey Love.

Agreed. Looks more and more like Walsh = Winged Monkey in disguise
Hook tries to help Emma remember who she is and offers her time in a bottle.
Emma drinks a potion to remember and in doing so has “time” given to her in the form of memories.
Regina returns home to find that someone has changed the ‘locks’.
I’m thinking this is a play on words. Instead of “locks” referring to the kind you put on a door, this could mean “locks” of hair….as in Rapunzel’s hair?
The witch draws first blood.
A merry man is down. I’m thinking this in in reference to Little John.
There’s a new twist on an old curse.
Instead of being cursed to forget their fairytale land identities completely, the residents of SB remember who they are except for the past year of their lives.

that makes sense. why would the WW want that year erased from their memories though?

I think this means that the Wicked Witch put some curse around the castle or the whole property and Regina and others can’t just waltz back in. I think that scene with Regina and the green force field is about that.

As far as I know, this person just watched 3×12. So I think it refers to the WWW having changed Regina’s house

I have this feeling it’s because they figure out something in that year about the WWW–her big plan. This way they go back to SB, the WWW remembers and everyone else thinks she’s just a nice teacher.
Also. We joked for so long that Mystery Man was a flying monkey…dear god. THIS is the theory that comes true?!
