Ah, good point- she probably wanted to have control over both kingdoms. I’d like to see more of the story there myself.
If that was the case for Cora, wouldn’t she be worried that Ana might one day decide that’s what she wants and go after her? That didn’t happen, obviously, but still.
I don’t know..Cora was very self assured. I think she knew that she could control Ana by keeping some things just out of reach. Plus, for Ana, Cora became a mother substitute–her own mother never loving her or showering her with praise. I think Ana would bend over backwards to appease Cora to keep her love.
